Re:Myths is a complex of interdisciplinary materials for teaching Latin language and Greco-Roman mythology that hinges on The Mythtape—a collection of songs that adapt classical myths into modern styles and genres. The aim is to think about the relevance of these ancient stories to our modern times and give students the tools to find their own creativity and wonder instead of feeling boxed in by tradition.

Educational materials like statements of artistic intent/teaching guides for each song, a graded Latin reader keyed to the DCC vocab list, interdisciplinary activities, and even music videos are coming soon, but, in the meantime you can book me to perform and run a songwriting and adaptation workshop with your students!

Re:Myths (formerly MYTHOS!) has been performed at the Society for Classical Studies / Archaeological Institute of America annual meeting, the University of Vermont Classics annual Bacchanal, and schools in Nashville, TN. You choose the tracks. It can be a one-man show, or, given enough lead time, I can send music ahead and perform with your student bands. Let’s give your students new ways to love old things!
